Inflite 9.0s has 52x11 top gear. Unlikely to be undergeared for most people.

As for the under gearing problem, it won't be for me. My bikes have 50/34 and 12-27 at present and I managed the last 60k of an Ironman 2 weeks ago using just the small ring, and was able to max out at 32kmh! 52 11 will be MORE than enough

I think it's a 46t big chainring on the Inflite. But that may not be a problem anyway.

As for where to buy the mudguards, your best bet is to contact Canyon and ask them.

The mudguards I would want are here https://www.canyon.com/en-gb/service/supportcenter/article.html?supportcenter_articles_id=282 but cannot find anywhere to buy them
Phone or email canyon and ask them to add to your order!

Ok, job done, have ordered the Canyon Inflite 9.0s. Adding the mudguards involves manually emailing to add them to the order but they have confirmed. The online chat people have been very helpful. Although one said the mudguards were on back order to 2016 which would have stopped me buying. @Bollo as you are local which model have you got?

Hi Jay. I've got the Aeroad, so it's a different beast altogether to the Inflite. It might be worth having a chat though as the purchase process was not without its problems.

If you want to kick the tyres or just marvel at its impracticality, I usually ride to work on Wednesdays and Fridays. I can head up the Mur de W End Terrace and nip by around 4-4:30pm.

Cheers @Bollo, sadly I am working in Reading the next 6 months... will keep you posted though. So far Canyon seem quite responsive

Ooooh, lucky you! Have you joined Mrs Dr Bollo on the X-Country then?

As for the Canyon, the UK contacts were excellent but I found myself ringing them up a little too often to say I'm completely happy. I'll tell you the full story in person or PM you if you're not around. Some of it was probably just bad luck, but I would seriously check delivery times before committing. I get the impression they're struggling to keep up with demand.

I am in fact driving. Office in Theale. Train there (change at Reading) gets me there in an hour, but way back requires a 32minute wait at Reading. Possibly will do a run or cycle from Mortimer station (10k to the office)

Bike is here in 2 weeks. Allegedly!
