A newbie around here!

Hello everybody!

My name is Hugo and I'm from Portugal but I live now in the London area. This is my 4th country and I've been here for 1 year. I a child of the early 80´s and I work in hospitality.
My cycling experience is the normal one. Always have had bikes but I don't have one here yet.
I want to get one and start commuting (6 miles each way) and also doing some rides to get in shape.
I joined this forum because I'm looking for tips and maybe to get to know some riding pals.
