Hiya guys,

I've had my bike for about a week now, and the grip on the left hand side has started to loosen, which means that when I'm holding on tightly its moving around on the bar.

Is there any way that I can tighten it up? It's causing me a little concern. I was thinking of just throwing a load of superglue down it, but wanted to ask the advice of more experienced cyclists before I did something potentially damaging.

Any hints would be greatly appreciated and gladly received.

Cheers guys

Well what I've just done is bought some new lock on grips after exactly the same reason that you give with a troublesome slippy left grip. It drove me mad in the end.

Take them off, give 'em a good clean with washing up liquid and hot water. Once they're (really) dry use give 'em a squirt of hairspray before putting them back on. This will act as a lube when you put them back on the bars and once dry will stick them to the bars, but also allow you to remove them quite easily with wd40 when they need replacing.
