A quid to change my peddles over and fettle the brakes

Is what i was charged at my local bike shop! He swapped the rat traps for some spds. He sweated like billyo in the heat to remove the originals then i asked if he'd have a look at the brakes. It took about 15 minutes then he asked for a pound for the labour! I gave him a fiver it was worth it as he had the patience and the tools for the job.
