Nb - This Ride Is Really Quite Hilly!

Once arrived at Eynsford we will soon have a steep climb up a narrow lane to Romney Street hamlet ..then onward to Woodlands & Knockmill before crossing the M20 and on to Stansted ...a very picturesque village with a remarkable WW1 war memorial .We the proceed to Hodsoll Street and thence past the southern side of Culverstone Green ...from here north to Harvel and further north still to Luddesdown . A little while later we arrive in Sole Street. ( which has a railway station and could be used to cut the ride short at the 17 mile stage) ..and thence to the village of Cobham ..this may be where we lunch as it has three pubs ...if not we will grab a bite on our way back through Sole Street .

After Sole Street we pass through Meopham and New Ash Green , before sweeping south over the M20 again and skirting the south side of West Kingsdown ...we then drop into the Knatts valley and swoop down into Farningham before circling back into Eynsford over the old bridge and ford .

Our total distance will be 35 miles and ascent will be 2835 feet ..the accompanying descent being 2820 feet . ....So please bear this in mind .......it has some quite steep ascents ...but it's a very pleasing rural ride ...well worth the sweat and gritted teeth during the uphill bits
