I was recently given as a present one of those genteleman's style guide books, the sort of thing which shows you how to tie dicky bows, insists that you need a cut throat razor etc. etc.
Then I thought, well there are style guides which possibly lean a little towards the camp and there is the real world in which you need real advice which has often been paid for in blood by those wiser than you. So what are your bits of style advice (I'm not on about a guide to life itself here).
