My crank bolt kept coming loose, and my LBS is in Bristol, as it happened I was down in Bristol on the 4th, so I took my bike down with me, they quickly diagnosed the problem. I needed a new crank arm.

So, I went in there on the 4th, and they knew what needed to be ordered
so they should have ordered it on the 6th, and it would arrive with them on the 8th and get posted to me.

I left it ample time to arrive to me, but it didn't arrive, on the 14th I rang them as it hadn't arrived, they don't know what's happened, and ring me back later that day. When they ring me back and it turns out that FSA havn't got one in the country, and they hadn't either rang me or sorted another one. They do have one in another branch on a bike, so they take it off and post it to me.

On the 17th I ring them to get a tracking number to find out where it is and when I can expect it, after a load of faffing and having to call the other branch, the tracking number tells me that it is being returned to sender. Why? Because, despite me giving them the correct postcode at least three times, it's going to the wrong postcode.

I rang them yesterday (the 23rd) and the person who I was dealing with was busy. Two hours later he rings me back "yes it arrived with us this morning, and I am writing the label to post it now." He checks my address and all is fine and dandy. It seems a remarkable coincidence that it arrived that morning, a further mystery that it had somehow taken six days tog et back to them.

It arrived this morning, which is remarkable given that it takes six days to get anywhere. I open it up and hmm, the bolt is different, bit strange, but I'll cope. I turn it over to check the length, and immediately start swearing.

"YOU BUNCH OF ABSOLUTE peanuts. YOU INSPECTED THE BIKE YOURSELF AND WROTE DOWN 175mm, YOU THEN SPOKE TO ME ON THE PHONE ABOUT THE LENGTH TWICE* AND I TOLD YOU THAT IT IS 175mm SO WHY THE **** AM I LOOKING AT A 170mm CRANK ARM?"

*once to each bike shop.

I might just drive down there and throttle them with it. This is a farce, twenty days later I finally receive the wrong part. I've been off the bike for most of this time (initially they tightened it and it held for almost a week) I've covered 480 miles on my bike, and I am supposed to be preparing to cover 800 whilst on tour. We leave in 22 days, BIKE UK Bristol, knew this.
