Hi....Im from Staffordshire Moorlands,,,,,edge of the Peak District
new to cycling...bought myself a 2nd hand Gary Fisher 6 months ago,after a friend lent me his Ribble because i wanted to see if I could ride up the 7 mile climb of the A537 from Macclesfield to the Cat and Fiddle pub....took me an hour!!!!.....but i got a real buzz out of it...
Im a big unit,,,15 stone but was 16 when i started and lifelong asthmatic..started off doing a 5 mile route 2 or 3 times a week and im now doing a 30 mile hilly route without using my inhaler (its all blood hilly round here!!!!) in 2hrs 4mins at least twice a week with one or two 17 milers thrown in...
this sunday,May 20th im doing a charity ride organised by our local Douglas Macmillan hospice...
its a 110 miles so wish me luck and god help me!!!
