This is what it looks like when Uluru (aka Ayers Rock), that very large rock in the middle of Australia, experiences some rare rain. Enjoy the photos.

I find these photos even more relevant this week, as Wednesday was an exceptionally hot day for Melbourne where I live, with the maximum reaching 42.5, the overnight temperatures hovering around 30, and then finally in the early morning, the cool change came in (with rain), and the maximum temperature for Thursday was 17!
We haven't had such a swing in maximum temperatures like this for about 90 years, and it was bizarre (but very welcome).
