Looks like a blast to me!! Would love to have a go at that. Agree that it may feel a little hairy if windy or raining but generally would be fantastic! Stunning views.

I suppose there's a height above which, logically, it shouldn't get any scarier, since the result of a fall is fatal. But that's probably only about three storeys. I guess the higher you are, the longer you have to think about it as you plummet...

I've always been terrified of heights (I know it's not the height that kills you it's the ground) but it was fascinating watching. I was reasonably okay with it till he went outside. Jeez I wanted to turn it off but carried on watching  .

Years ago my uncle was seconded from his local pit to work on Drax power station when it was being built. He is claustrophobic so refused to go in the lift that goes up inside the chimney. He went up the stairway. When he got to the top he found he had forgotten some tool or other he needed. He had no option but to walk back down then back up again. I don't think he enjoyed his time there  .

According to the link, it's not a copyright issue, more someone discovering the hard way that worms cannot be put back into cans. :-)

All the way up the last bit I was saying, clip in, clip in!!!

I was thinking that it looked okay until he got to the 'free-climbing' bit right at the top. Now, I used to free-climb a little when I was younger, but that is just a little bit different. It's not as if the climbing itself is that hard, but the consequence of making a mistake is basically, death. And the thing you can't see in the video is the wind. Even on a relatively still day, it is bound to be a bit windier up there than down below.

I've got a reasonable head for heights, and I couldn't carry on watching that.
You'd never, ever get me climbing essentially a curved ladder that's about a third of a mile that way *points up*
I think I need to lie down for a bit...

Excellent video. Impressively casual about the exposure.

Acrophobia fans might like to check this one out too. 1'11" is pretty outrageous.......

Seriously - the free climbing was much more dangerous.

Climbing the pole, whilst very high and exposed, it leaves little to chance as the footholds and handholds are solid and evenly spaced... on the rock though.... yikes!!

I love heights and have been known to be a bit of an adrenaline junkie - really would love to try climbing up that tower. If only Jim'll Fixit was still around doing his thang...
