Very moody picture. Was so glad a few years ago than Man Uni. got funding to keep it maintained. It was getting a bit 'rusty' coloured, as it took a fair amount to paint. That got secured. Fortunately, it's part of a world wide 'web' of radio telescopes that makes them into one BIG dish.
Love seeing it - I'm a local and it was great to see it being re-furbished.
PS the coffee there is great, and so is the cake.
PS there is a Cycle Chat ride out that way again at the end of September. - We'll be riding from Stockport, but if we can get past the 'jobs-worths', we'll get in the cafe.
