If you know what's good for you ...
Hi

I'm off to Norway next week on the ride I've wanted to do all my life! I've serviced my bike to make sure that it will be as reliable as possible - and I've changed the chain and the cassette. So here's my question: in Norway it rains a lot - supposedly Bergen is the wettest place in Europe. So I've bought some wet lube to protect my chain from the moisture. But putting wet lube on a chain can apparently make it very dirty very quickly. Is it best to put wet lube on when it rains then wipe off and replace with normal oil - or would it be OK to leave it on all the time?
Cheers

We used wet lube year round when we lived in the UK, and if I was touring somewhere there was a good chance of rain I'd probably do the same. It did get pretty gunked up, but wiping down the whole drivetrain frequently with a damp cloth to remove the worst of it seemed to keep wear to a minimum.
