A wet start to a holiday.

I returned home to Manila on Friday night and it had started to rain, by Saturday morning it was raining hard coupled with high winds. In the next 12 hours we had 42.4 cms of rain and the flooding was horrendous. In many areas flood water was up to the tops of houses and many were stranded on their roofs. There have been many deaths reported and also many missing, the TV showed people being swept down raging rivers that are not normally there. Not a good way to start a holiday!!

Thanks for the concerns, we have been lucky, where I live is fairly high and so only had some flooding of the roads but nothing came into the house. 80% of Manila is reportedly underwater!!
