Driving home tonight through Birtley, Co Durham on the A167 I saw a cyclist well ahead travelling in my direction.
I also saw a red Mini (L18HAD) turn right from a petrol station on the opposite side of the road to the cyclist and thought to myself that the lady driver had just committed one of my pet hates, pulling out alongside while a cyclist is passing through.... Except this numpty had obviously not even noticed the cyclist and squeezed him right in to the kerb, narrowly missing him.
Cyclist did well to keep his balance and as I caught him up, I shouted across that I had her number if he wanted a statement.
I was thanked very much for the offer and he assured me that he was just shocked.
