Absolute Pollocks

Pollock are the most vile, slimy and smelly fish you could ever wish not to catch. I've been trying to catch bass in Cornwall for at least five decades. Bass are tasty but you tend to catch pollock by mistake. You gently take the hook from their mouths and put them back in the sea. I wouldn't even feed a pollock to a cat....and I don't like cats either.
I see that the fish has recently become highly desirable. Don't be fooled.
Now, Jackson is an entirely different matter. He's rather good and a lot of fun.

Flounder and pollock pie as a starter for Christmas lunch. Now there's a dish that just might keep the in-laws away!
