Better off putting an IGBT-controlled variable speed inverter in there paired to a squirrel cage motor. What you loose in the power electronics you will gain in not having a commutator, lighter rotor (and motor) and better slip control under braking and acceleration.

Guy whose bike I am repairing dropped it off in his E-Pace I couldn't get over how huge is was, our Rav4 sits between the rain channel & completely on our drive, the E-Pace hung over the rain channel & was hanging over the pavement. But it's still very eery when they pull away without a sound, not sure it would suit a Cobra.
