I nearly rear-ended a close friend at the weekend, but I managed to pull myself away at the last moment.

Almost came off the bike this morning...I decided to overtake the queuing traffic by riding on to the adjacent cycle path...but the front wheel slid along the lowered kerb instead of mounting it.
Fortunately there were no peds in the way and there was a hedge to break my fall.

I one year of cycling my 'bent. I have seen.

One car rear end the car in front as the driver was to busy watching me, rather than the car in front

lets see in 20 years of roadie/mtb/commuting...

On 1st wedding anniversary trip, front tyre blow out while descending a winding hill result broken collar bone.
hit a 4 foot section of 2 X 4 left no the road result ass burn.
Had lots of offs for one reason or another , no real damage (bumps and bruises).
Got bit by pick up truck at intersection result bent wheel sore knee.
