Ian Curtis of Joy Division. What a poet and performer he was. However, I wonder how much more could have been squeezed out him with his ill health and other problems.
Nick Drake. I liked his 3rd and last album more than his others. His stuff seemed to be getting better, and he seemed to be coming out of his depression when he overdosed.
