Looking for some one (or group) to cycle Adelaide to Melbourne with me (23 Year Old male from London) in the second half of Novemeber.
Trip should be about 1000km and would like it to take just under 2 weeks with a couple of rest days, happy to extend it or put in a few big days to do it quicker if needs be.

If you cant join but have done it before any tips/information would be great, as i am still very much in the planning stage!

Can't join, but I've done it before. It's a great route. The Great Ocean Road itself is about 300kms and is best done mid-week. Beautiful though it is, it can be kind of crowded on weekends. For your approach to Melbourne, I'd advise taking the ferry from Queenscliff to Portsea and riding up the Mornington Peninsula into the city. It us far nicer and more scenic than taking the highway from Geelong.

Sounds like a great trip!

I cycled from Sydney to Adelaide, via Melbourne and The Great Ocean Road, three years ago and I definitely think I went the wrong way: I had head winds virtually all the way. Plus I bet the uphills were more severe east to west, too!

I camped most of the time, and managed to find campsites with ease, even during the Christmas and school holidays (if you're going in November, you'll miss this).

My route (from Melbourne) was Eltham - Frankston - Ocean Grove - Skenes Creek - Apollo Bay - Peterborough - Port Fairy - Portland - Mount Gambier - Robe - Kingston SE - Meningie - Hahndorf - and finally Adelaide. It was HOT when I did it: no lower than 30c, with a max of 43c.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to send me a pm (personal message).

I have never done it, but it is a very popular route for motorists and can get a bit busy at times, also the temperature can get a bit hot in November, although the past couple of years have been a bit cooler.
