Just make sure you don't disturb the brake arm when tightening the pinch bolt.
Brake lever is just feeling too slack.
If you've followed the adjustment procedure that surprises me,unless there's a mismatch between caliper and brake lever.
If you adjust the pads so the lever has the right amount of free play,are the pads rubbing the rotor?

Also, if your rotor is just out of true you dont need any tools, just press firmly with both thumbs where the high spot is.

Yes, that's why I think the rotor needs straightening.
You use AndyR's method but if you find that's to hard on your thumbs an adjustable spanner clamped on the disc from the inside of the braking surface near as possible to one of the 'spokes' of the rotor,and gently 'persuade' it back to truth.:thumbsup:

Bought a rotor tool on the way home today. And some rotor cleaning stuff, and new brake pads, just in case!
