It is with much regret I offer for sale my ADO Air 20 Pro e-bike. Sadly my arthritic thumbs now prevent me from gripping the handlebars sufficiently, and after almost ' losing it ' a couple of times when hitting a pothole etc common sense tells me it is time to retire from cycling with much reluctance.

The bike was purchased new by me in july 2025. I have had great fun on it for a total of 526 miles. The bike has been (and is) faultless. Paintwork and bike running gear are excellent. Bike was purchased from Amazon where it is still for sale. I invite you to read my ' lengthy ' bike review on Amazon. Go to ' ADO Air20 Pro ' (the blue one at £1,399) there are 13 reviews. Mine is the 1st (and by far the most 'wordy'.) Titled " Return to cycling at 78 " Hopefully my pictures here help but happy to accept questions. The included accessories cost new, Squire Straplock £70.00, Homper cycle bag £25.00 and RBL cycle mirror £18.00 are included in the asking price.

The battery is in the seat post ! and is lockable in situ and removable if you wish. As is recommended with all Lithium-ion batteries I never left it fully charged for long periods. After a ride I would use a timer and charge the battery to approx 80%. If necessay top it up to max before my ride. ADO claim 100km (60 miles) but I think that is optimistic, I noted the mileage completed a couple of times and I achieved a 40 mile and a 45 mile. The battery indicator was showing 'Low / Red ' but was still performing ! As you would expect the range is so dependent on the rider / terrain / weather etc. I usually averaged rides of around 15 miles and I charged it after 2 rides. It has 20" wheels and the front suspension and 1.95" tyres help with a comfortable ride.

The 'e-power' help is easily toggled between 1 / 2 & 3 depending on how hard you want to ' push ' higher number less battery range of course. 2 automatic gears in the hub which change around 10/11 mph. Obviously not going to suit everyone but easy to get used to.

As seen I estimate it's weight at approx 20kg, You can lessen that significantly by 1st removing the battery, it's a bit of a ' faff ' though. I have folded it and had it in the back of my car a few times, (battery in place) it is a ' lump' but if this 79 year can do it . . . ?

Folded it will fit in most good sized boots, my Toyota estate with the rear seats in place and I would think most medium hatchbacks, probably with the rear seats folded.

There is an independent review Here:

This will have to be collected. We are in North Yorkshire, near Richmond, just off the A1M. For a committed buyer (and a small refundable deposit ) I am willing to travel North or South a reasonable distance to meet. e.g from the south meet at Junc 46 Wetherby Services, from the north, by arrangement.

If you still have questions after this 'tome ' ^_^ ask away.

Price £950.00 (incl listed extras)
p.s Can include good footpump.

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
Sorry to hear about your decision to retire from cycling. I understand as I have wonky (but still functioning) hands.

Best wishes

Thank you for your suggestion Sharky. Sadly not, this ' grip like ' position with my thumbs is 'out' The only position that mitigates the pain is a flat hand on top of the bars. A flat hand, when not wrapping the thumb around something doesn't give sufficient control of the handlebars. I'm past the age where I bounce if I come off. 🤬
