Adult trailers

Evening all.

Wondered if anyone knows of a trailer I can attach to a Tandem, that will seat an adult? Possibly one that also allows them to pedal aswell.

Mission do a tricycle based one called the Piggyback

But some basics before you go any further.

Movement by a child on a two wheeled trailer "flicks" through the frame and can affect steering. The efect by a moving adult (eg with learning difficulties) wil be much more severe so a tricycle design is essential

Brakes are another issue as there is more mass to stop, and good brakes are a must. With an adult this is even more vital.

Finally a tandem is already pushed as a design with stopping and steering, It may work (and you will only find out by trial) but a standard bike may be more suitable.
