My Mrs is doing a 10k run on Sunday and is going straight to her mates tonight after work for her final training session.

She's going through one of those feeling fat modes as we ate a lot of crap at the weekend when visiting mates. She's sent me an e-mail saying can I get something healthy and non fattening for dinner.

What can i get?? I had my heart set on a curry tonight as well

Actually curry is perfectly good if you up the rice and vegetables and reduce the volume of sauce. Rice is perfect carb. energy food IMO and low in fat. I eat more rice than anything else.

Just go for a stir fry with plentiful fresh veggies, cooked until done but still firm. For flavouring just use lots of garlic, chilli peppers and fresh ginger, dress with soy sauce and sesame oil.

Well as long as its brown & not white due to it releasing energy more slowly;)

Indeed. Brown's out for me as my body can't handle the husk. So I just eat more white.

I like a stir fry as dom has proposed - good healthy food. If you need a meat in there, I quite like a packet of shrimps thrown into the stir fry.

Grilled chicken in a lime and coriander marinade.
Vegetable cous cous
Rocket and cherry tomatos
Bottle of Pellagrino.

All to healthy and I was starving 20 mins later
