Hi
I'm not an expert rider so would really value your expertise.
I have been riding a Carrera Crossfire 2 for a couple of years - mainly on tarmac. I'm now looking to make the next step towards a bike in the region of £750-1000. Basically I'm looking for a quicker and lighter bike - I've become obsessed with beating my live segment times on Strava and I think I have got about as much out of my current bike on the SE coast hills that I can!
I'm really not too sure about the riding position and drop handlebars of a road bike and I'm torn between another hybrid or a straight bar road bike.
With this in mind, I would love to hear your thoughts and your recommendations in either of the above two categories
1. A fast, light hybrid
2. A straight bar road bike.
