Hi there, my friend needs a bike for commuting,

She is 4'11" and not sure on inside leg, i think she mentioned 27 (im nooby at this stuff)

she wants as simple as possible, its all flat as in london, so she mentioned single speed or fixed with flipflop and breaks, mudguards for work clothes but doesnt know whats out there thats practical and safe when it comes to someone of her size

any advice?

Budget?
She'd be best to head over to decathlon and see what they have, good range of ladies and even kids bikes

Single speed, she could try brick lane bikes perhaps, these come in a small frame size for example

Or perhaps a look at pendletons or Carreras at halfords

decathlon. and don't listen to people who say a certain frame size is no good for her. get her to try the bike out . it will feel right when its right

The Islabikes range of "kids bikes" is of good quality

Their Luath series caters for riders between 130 to 158 cm height and inside leg of 59 to 86 cm
