My FSA 50/34 chainset has what appear to be worn down teeth. The chain comes off every couple of days despite the limiter being set so that I can just about change back onto the large chainring so I'm assuming this wear is causing the chain to slip.
So I'm looking at a new chainset and as the rest of my bike is largely fitted out with Shimano 105 I'm looking to get one of these. Evans do a 53/39 so my questions are: is the difference in sizes enough to make me struggle? I regular use top gear at the mo to get above 30mph on flat. I rarely use my lowest gear if at all.
Is the 105 chainring any good? The FSA has only lasted about 18 months.
