if it is a simple one and you make a bequest to the Charity lots of charities offer "Free" will writing services .

We used our family solicitor when the eldest kid arrived. cost us £150 , we had it reviewed when youngest came along and same solicitor reviewed without charge as it still met all our needs.

sadly he has passed away now but the chambers still exist .

edit- Beaten to it by Dirk by seconds ....

If you are a member of a trades union, you may find that the solicitors they use offer a free will service. If your circumstances are fairly simple then you can buy a will kit from W H Smiths. If not, Then use a solicitor. Things can get messy and it is a necessity that you put down clearly and concisely where you want your wishes to go and to whom.

You can get a cheap, proper will done through the will aid scheme in November; solicitor donates fees to charity, you pay a voluntary charitable donation.
