Wasn't that long a test ride maybe a hour on each bike (as much as I was allowed) I want it for long rides 100 milers but also would like to try my hand at racing duathlon and triathlons so needs to b comfy but also racey ...and I agree the lime green is nice but the merida with internally routed cables and in white looks seamless I just don't know ....

@daddyb06 Haha! Tough making a decision, isn't it. Been there. done that, along with almost everyone on this forum, and no doubt, I'll be in the same predicament as you, again, sometime in the future  You still haven't made up your mind since your last post regarding a new bike  cannondale-caad8-105-5-2015-good-bike-or-better-alternative

Go for a Merida. It's something different. I completely respect the reputation that Cannondale have for having, probably, the best alu frames, but I would want something different.

At the end of the day, it's up to you, obviously, but you asked so...

The only differences I can see between the Ride and the Scultura are maybe a few component differences (not much in it at all as you'll probably end up upgrading various parts) and that the Scultura is a few lbs lighter.

Why not see if you can have another test ride on them. A big is a big purchase nowadays. I just fell in love with my newish bike when I rode it. I'd test ridden a fair few bikes but none of them gave me that 'wheeeeee' feeling until I rode my PX.

Is there a big diff between ur carbon n the alloy other than weight ? I like idea of been different to lol

Having never ridden the Alloy frame I have no idea, the carbon bike is around 1kg lighter which I'd imagine would make it feel more sprightly and being carbon it should isolate you from the road buzz and chatter more. Having said that it's £1k more than the alloy....

Mine has undergone a half kilo weight reduction in the form of wheels and tyres and I certainly noticed that riding in all areas (not just uphill)
