I bought my CAAD8 at Sora level 'cos of its colour (didn't like the green on the 105) and stripped off the Sora to upgrade it to 105 myself. sora was white and red at that time. After all the deals were done it overall cost less than buying the 105 in green straight off.

I think the green Genesis looks much classier but Tiagra in Reynolds 725 steel, or the green Kinesis but CX I think and way over budget

My mate has one and loves it, i think it's a really good looking bike and a lot of bike for the money. I bought a defy 1 last year, if i was choosing this year i would buy the Merida. If it's the bike that you most like the look of i can't see how you'd go wrong.

What test riding gave you done? What is your goal for riding the bike once you've got it?

It's unlikely any one is going to be worse than the other two, especially when two are from the same company, but as has been mentioned they theoretically are designed with slightly different purposes in mind and if your final riding is going to fit one of the bikes design goals better than the other two then that's the one to go for, especially if your test riding hasn't really emulated your final reason for having the bike, just in case issues start to show when you start using it in anger.

Or just buy the lime green one that wasn't on your list, it looks stunning :-)
