Technology is just something else these days....
Your right there.
I'm currently in my caravan on Dartmoor, picking up an excellent wifi signal courtesy of my Rangemaster long range wifi device and the BT hub in a cottage 2 km away.:okay:
Watched the Tour of Britain go through Bovey Tracey yesterday and then streamed the highlights programme on my tablet when we got back to the van.^_^

Day 2 done. I was supposed to do 4 climbs, but skipped one. Total for the day: 95km and 3000m climbing. It's extremely lumpy in the Pyrenees. :surrender:

I rode up Col du Tourmalet, Col d'Aspin and Col du Peyresourde, with temperatures almost reaching 30.

It was hard work, but the scenery is amazing.

Get back out there and do the one you didn't do the first time!

Day 1 done; and Hautacam done. Spending the night in a nice Luz Saint-Sauveur.

Don't know how you can stand those long flights. I did 2.5 hours back from Warsaw yesterday and it took three wines just to make it bearable.

I can never sleep on planes.
Last long haul flight, from LA last year, I watched a complete series of Curb Your Enthusiasm in one go.

pah! LA to UK isn't long haul. It's 10 hours.

Seriously, Australia must be the worst place to end up at the end of an insomniac flight. My (un)favourite personal anecdote is the following. Remember that Australia is - rightly - paranoid about biosecurity, but they don't care about things like package sweets and chocolate.

Customs officer: Do you have any food in your bags?
Me: Only chocolate.
CO: Do you eat it?
Me; What?
CO: Do.You.Eat.Chocolate?
Me: Yes?
CO: Then it's food, isn't it?
Me (not out loud): Don't be mean to me! I've been awake for 40 hours.

(yeah, they didn't examine my bags. And yeah, I got to pet a beagle. In the US they will probably give you a cavity search on scant evidence, but they are never sarcastic)
