Don't bank on thatI never used to be able to sleep whilst flying and on some of them I'd be the only person other than the pilot awake.

I said bring your own saddle!Just rode from Bedoin to Mont Ventoux summit (or sommet), down to Malaucene, then back up to the summit, then back down to the hotel near Bedoin.
The descent to Malaucene is fast, and I briefly reached 83.5km/h.
Total for the day: 95km with 3200m climbing.
The previous 2 days were tough, because I found that the gel saddle supplied with the hire bike was in fact a torture device. Yesterday I rode up a 10km with 10% grade climb (the Col de Mente), and it just ruined meand I couldn't do the 2nd climb for that day. For today I put my own saddle (which I brought with me) on the bike, and it made a HUGE difference. Mont Ventoux (even the 2nd climb) was a lot easier because of it.
So right now it's going well, and my legs are getting bigger by the day.
I SHOULD have been using it since day 1 (Sat.). The pain from the other one was horrid.I said bring your own saddle!
I thought you'd have been using it as well though.
You'll know for next time.I SHOULD have been using it since day 1 (Sat.). The pain from the other one was horrid. But today there was no pain.
Yep, lesson learned, in the most effective manner: pain! You'll know for next time.
So just over an hours riding in totalThe descent to Malaucene is fast, and I briefly reached 83.5km/h.

Enjoy! So just over an hours riding in total
(all checked in for my flight to rainy Melbourne)
That's a tough gig you're doing. Respect. We ride towards the Alps today, with a 170km itinerary.
Looking good for LHR->DXB(all checked in for my flight to rainy Melbourne)
Long time checking in.
How's the saddle holding out?I made it! Starting from the hotel near Bedoin, 176km and 3000m climbing, incl Col de la Homme Mort, Col d'Espreaux and Col du Festre ( the last one really trashed my legs
).
Am now in Corps, and dinner beckons.
