Very Sad Loss
Boro play Leeds tonight I'd bet if they win the players will dedicate the win to him.

And if Leeds win they'll dedicate their victory to the surviving Alistair Brownlee.

No offence to the OP (who might not be into triathlon), but should we get the thread title changed?

Why? It's factually correct apart from the spelling of Brow(n)lee. It becomes immediately apparent that the more famous Brownlee isn't the subject of the posting once you start reading the post.

The deceased is/was very big on the football scene in the North East and although I've lived in Leeds for the past thirty eight years, my Darlington connections brought the deceased to my attention well before the triathlete was born.

As a Darlo fan I used to listen to him on BBCTees on the way home from our home games, Lovely guy and so passionate.

What a loss :sad:
