booze and cake
probably out cycling
I'm late the party and only joined eBay a few months ago. I'm sure its a right of passage for many but last week I had my first drunken eBay purchase.
I went out on the town and had a skinful, upon returning home I don't even remember logging into eBay and bidding. Next thing I know 2 days later I get the 'congratulations you've won email'. I was like, oh god, won what?
Being a bit of a sucker for obscure Italian steel I'd bid on a bike frame, with only 1 photo, no size listed so it may even be too small. I also failed to notice that the seller would'nt post, so I've got to go and collect it.......from York (I live in London). So I've just had to spend £85 on the train to go and collect it this weekend (the frame was £93) so the cost has almost doubled immediately, and if its too small I'll have to sell it. I think I got OK deal but until I see it in the flesh I won't know.
I'm sure that's tame by some standards, so come on, share some of your booze fuelled buys, the good, the bad and the dafter the better.
