Aldi & Lidl tomorrow (13th Oct 2011)

Aldi & Lidl are doing winter running gear tomorrow; it'll be equally as good for cycling (if anyone is interested?)

I got the soft shell jacket, running trousers and gloves from Lidl, all seems good for cycling to me

Went to Lidls earlier, didnt have a lot left, picked up a head warmer though .

I went to my local Lidl and they didn't have anything decent. Didn't like the compression top compared to the one I got from Aldi 2 weeks ago. Will pop into Aldi and see if theirs is any better.

I got the lightweight "waterproof-ish" running top last autumn
I also have a Montane jetstream...the Aldi top rolls down and packs away better, is just as "lightly waterproof", is a little more generous without being overly baggy (which means flappy-in-the-wind) for someone who doesn't look his best in tight clothing(!) and I wear that much more often than the expensive Montane

Had to go get a new chain instead tonight as last night was a disaster being driven at by a BMW on a busy roundabout after my chain snapped and I was trying to wheel the bike off the road the only way that wasn't blocked by pedestrian railings, so hoping there's something left tomorrow night

Aldi running tights good fit - need to wear with padded shorts/u.ps on the bike. Compression tops not as nice as last years, lightweight jacket didn't seem quite as good quality as the one I bought last year, which was so good I wanted another! Didn't have its own little pouch and pull cord like last years. Lots of stuff left in Aldi and Lidl. Has the recession finally hit?

Yeah, I was surprised by that. They have a picture of the jacket WITH the running pouch on their website too.

Got a jacket, a pair of running tights and, what looked like the last cycling winter top in large. £30
