Wow first time ive seen that. Surely the tyre wouod go before causing rhat damage. Get it sent back.

Absolutely no damage to the tyre at all and never had this problem with the tacx. Hubby said he wondered why it kept getting easier lol

The only time I've worn down a roller it took me about ten years and I didn't wear it down that much, looks like the materials a bit soft.

Nylon roller, friction , heat = rapid wear.
I would return it to the store with strongly worded complaint.
i have a generic turbo and the roller is made of steel, i don't expect it to wear down any time soon.
