Alfine Hub Sprocket Removal

Hi,

Does anyone know how to remove the sprocket from the hub? It looks like a special tool may be required. I have another wheel with an Alfine hub and wanted to put the sprocket on that one but I've no idea how to do it. Thanks.

Its very easy to do. there is a little lock ring that you have to rotate (anti-clockwise i think) and it all sort of comes undone. no tools required

Ah, I see the lock ring now. It's a sort of split ring. I can only make it rotate though. Do you 'spring' it off?

Are you maybe confusing the cable assembly lock rings with the lock ring that actually holds the sprocket on? These are very easy to undo and the outer one does undo anti clockwise, but it's what do after these are off?

you need to unscrew 35, remove 34/35 and then the snap ring 31.
