A few months ago I got a cycling coat from aldi, now I get a small in clothes, but had to get a large so it would fit.
Christmas day and my sister gets me a new cycling coat (make karrimor) and this was a small and fits just right.
A small jumper( decathlon's own) fits perfect
Adidas, I have to get a medium jumper for it to fit.

Why can't clothing companies just have a standard size.

A good point. If I buy a pair of shoes I can get 42s and know that, give or take slightly different width fittings, they will fit. Not so with clothes. But how can a manufacturer give one size for a garment - a jacket, say - to cover all the variations of arm length and neck size but with the same chest measurement? And that's without all the women who always buy their size 10 outfits from M&S because every other shop has the damned impertinence to tell Madam that she is a 14.

If a label says small for 36-38 inch chest I would expect it to fit me.
not have to by a large with a label that says 42-44 inch chest to fit.
or jeans, one make 28" waist, and another make 32"
