Middlemarch, according to a recent survey. Don Quixote, if you'll believe Time Magazine (one of very few books in my life I have found literally unreadable).

Oooo.... this is a difficult one as this changes depending on the way the wind's blowing at any particular instant !

Today I'd have to say:

'A Confederacy Of Dunces' - John Kennedy Toole
'Demian' - Hermann Hesse

given the number of times I've read them both !!

I'd probably have to say Treasure Island or Hound of the Baskervilles as I have read both so many times.

For me...both Orwell
1st - Animal farm
2nd - 1984

Tried various other orwell books...they just did'nt do it for me. Surprised me.
