My Garmin batteries died today on the ride so the computer only clocked 131.2miles, I've filled in the gap via a route planning site (16.2). 147.4miles but not quite the 150 I'm off to make myself some tea then I'll go out for that extra 2.6 miles

I did an Audax yesterday - 135 miles. I thought I'd go out and do the 65 miles today to top the weekend mileage up. But Mrs 26x25 insisted I take her for a walk. So I do understand your pain

Well, I suppose I've indulged in the same bit of ... (call it 'vanity') ... myself, albeit on a much smaller scale. Having clocked up say 24.2 miles, an extra couple of turns round the block won't do any harm .

I always run 2 comps on the bike. My Garmin as well as a wired. Just in case.

I feel better now that I've cycled another 3.43 miles. Ironically when I first got the Garmin I did run a separate wired computer but found the garmin reliable so removed it

Just run the garmin these days (for the weekend bikes - not the commuter).... 69.6 yesterday, couldn't be bothered with once round the block.

That's 70 in my book. OTOH 69.4 is 69. So it all evens out. Unless you always top it up to 69.5 .

Now would I do that?
