On overseas business trips I always sleep on the same side of the bed and often don't even disturb the other side at all. Some boutique type hotels do pile lots of silly cushions on beds though, so they have to be stacked up somewhere.
Yeah, what is it with all the pillows and cushions .... are they to build a wall with or something?

I don't know, they seem to be aimed at making the room look luxurious. They're as silly as those pointless bits of cloth that hotels leave folded across the foot of the bed.
.... yeah, that stupid bit of cloth at the end of the bed ..... what exactly is that for eh?

Since we have diverted from 'Singletons at bedtime' and are currently doing "What is [that] for, eh?", I would like to add strange domestic signs like "Home" (in case you forget where you are?), "Love" (yes, please!) or "Bath" (to remind drunken men not to use it as a urinal?) ...

I toyed with the idea of having a few made, such as "big lowercase sign", "UPPERCASE SIGN" or even a more surreal "This is not a sign and you have not read it"!

if not in same bed as Mrs Sub then its starfish mode and use all available room .

hotels is the same . and the cushions and cloth can be used to create a fun game similar to "shooting hoops" . they can be used for further fun when you check out too

Exactly the same for me, but weirdly I always sleep better if my feet point south like they do at home. This is even the case when in the southern hemisphere.

Our bed enjoys the rare resbite from the lengthy, wild, acrobatic, passionate love making it has to withstand.
What Mrs Marky does when you're out at work is no concern of ours ;)

When we did the Nile cruise a few years ago the cabin boy who was looking after our cabin would make the bed and tidy the cabin then make an animal out of the towels and linen and leave it on the bed, he was very good at it

For many years I worked away, perhaps 10/15 nights per year and always chose the same side of the bed as I normally have.
We normally wake and get up from bed at the same time but on the odd occasion that Mrs Dave7 gets up before me.....for some weird reason I find myself rolling onto "her side".

As long as I breathe, I attack.
I think it's normal.
Mr K works shifts so there are some nights when I have the bed to myself and he has the bed during the day but we always sleep in the same place. When I go to my parents, I still sleep on the same side as I do at home.
If im on nights i regularly come home to find to kids have sneaked in overnight so when mrs ck gets up i have to sleep on her side till the kids wake up, it feels weird on the "wrong " side .

Dunno what the pillows on the bed are for either, but Mrs.PM insists that they are there, I just get dump them on the floor then have to put them back the following morning or there are words.
Work away a lot and sleep in very narrow single at work, but I have noticed no matter where I am I can only fall asleep laying on my right side, the same as when at home and sharing. Creature of habit indeed.
