We have a sign a work that says THIS SIGN IS HERE FOR YOUR SAFETY , thats it thats all it saysSince we have diverted from 'Singletons at bedtime' and are currently doing "What is [that] for, eh?", I would like to add strange domestic signs like "Home" (in case you forget where you are?), "Love" (yes, please!) or "Bath" (to remind drunken men not to use it as a urinal?) ...
I toyed with the idea of having a few made, such as "big lowercase sign", "UPPERCASE SIGN" or even a more surreal "This is not a sign and you have not read it"!![]()
On a golf weekend a couple of years ago my roomy forgot his key so I gave him mine, unfortunately no amount of hammering on the door a few hours and a number of beers later could wake him. One of the other lads was kind enough to allow me to sleep on the floor in his room. Those strips of cloth? Well, they just feel a little bit better than nothing at all, and the little extra cushion, bliss!!!.... yeah, that stupid bit of cloth at the end of the bed ..... what exactly is that for eh?
they can be used for further fun when you check out too![]()
The "love" one is easy. Just chop it in half, rearrange the two halves et voila! "velo" A new sign for your one true loveSince we have diverted from 'Singletons at bedtime' and are currently doing "What is [that] for, eh?", I would like to add strange domestic signs like "Home" (in case you forget where you are?), "Love" (yes, please!) or "Bath" (to remind drunken men not to use it as a urinal?) ...

There's a bunch of useless signs at a beer garden I used to frequent (merely to read the signs of course) and one of them read Don't Lean Against This Sign. I can't remember the others but they were all things of that nature. Another one I think said Notice This Notice or somesuch. It was supposed to be an Irish establishment, if that makes any sense. Nowadays things are so PC that I am not allowed to draw any conclusions from that.We have a sign a work that says THIS SIGN IS HERE FOR YOUR SAFETY , thats it thats all it says![]()
