Already looking on the internet for my next bike and not even got my schwinn yet!
As the schwinn is a single speed i feel I need a geared bike too. Any suggestions for around £500?

My suggestion is to wait until you get your bike and ride it. Find out if it is for you before you go and throw more money at it.

It can be tempting to keep throwing money at it (and any other hobby) yes. For some people this will remain their primary enjoyment. But having been there and done that, I would wholly recommend you try to just ride the bike you have ordered for a month or so before buying more bikes.

BTW, I am not saying that I don't still look at kit and think, I wan't that! I do it, more often than I would like to admit, I have just learned to control myself and not let enthusiasm overrule my other faculties so much

Go to the giant store in twickenham and look at their flat bar and drop bar offerings. What will you be using n+1 for?

I thought the SS was for that? Be a nice challenge around the park ;)

I'd wait a month or two given your budget. The 2014 models are reaching the shops now. In a bit, the current 2013s will be on sale. If there are any 2012s left, they'll be even more of a bargain

Action bikes in Wimbledon had some good deals on their ex demo trek roadbike fleet not so long ago, might be worth a visit

Oh yeh for sure the road bike is for that. But roadbike more for posing purposes though and a farker to get uphill

Oh dear! I'm afraid you'll need a far bigger budget for posing on in Richmond park! Best add a zero to your budget to compete with the other mamils on their pinarellos. Surely the reason you bought a SS is to get fit enough to pass the posers on the hills. £500 isn't enough to cut it there unless you are in fact wiggo ;)

Too late for that. Think ill keep the ss for a while like suggested. See what its like to cycle in all weathers and then decide what to do. Then maybe I can justify spending a good sum of money

Did you order it online? You have a cooling off period as long as its as new. Poser roadies, don't normally go for SS. They like Lycra and polystyrene while hipsters like cord, tweed and a fedora ;)
