I once tried doing without Coffee - I had a mild touch of Reynauld's and the doc said to avoid Caffeine, Cocaine, and Nicotine, so I thought I would drop the caffeine, which was fine after a few weeks, anyway a few months later I was about to drive throughout the night and thought I would take some coffee with me to keep me alert, about 2am I stopped somewhere up the A9 and made myself a brew, first caffine for about 3 months - a couple of mile further up the road I had to stop again, thought my heart was going to explode out of my chest, felt seriously weird - just shows what a strong drug caffeine is - I haven't risked being without it since.
Did it may any difference to the Raynauds? (Alcohol works best for me:laugh:), but any warm drink helps to get the circulation going again.
No, I don't think so - now that I have worked out what causes raynauld type symptoms with me it is very easily avoided - I just need to keep away from air-conditioning systems on hot summer days when I am wearing short sleeved T shirts, air-con in cars or these giant walk-in-fridge areas on hot summer days are something I need to avoid. presumably cold air on my upper arms triggers off some stupid over reaction, my body decides it need to protect my core temperature and cuts off the blood flow to my fingers toes & nose. I can go wild camping in the highlands in winter without problems, but a cold draft on a hot summers day and i can't cope -
Mine is definitely more winter related ... being outside and wet and or cold doesn't help, summer I only get rare occurrences.

Strangely enough I've stopped drinking tea at home (after forty years) (over the last month) and now mainly drink it at work.Limiting myself to three cups at the most but generally two.I drink orange squash at home from bottles of water put in the freezer and also more water at work plus the odd canned drink.Oh at night, drinking chocolate before bed.Rarely Coffee.
