Just out of interest... if you could change your username now based on what you've discovered about yourself, your riding habits, cycling likes, dislikes, whatever, since joining CC, what new name would you choose??

I'm thinking, Roadsloth, or too many cigarettes, for me...

Anyone else??

On the old Cycling Plus forum, there were loads of Daves or Davids so I went for the name my Aussie mates in Stockholm called me. I kept it when everyone abandoned ship and moved here.

After all these years I'd find it difficult to have a new name and then have to develop a 'new' character. Or is it just OCD, not like change etc!

Not that I'd change now, but I'll see if I can find anything that would have been suitable.

Mine came about cos my first post was about someone fitting a rear brake on a Raleigh Equipe and they wanted to drill out the brake bridge to fit a 105 caliper (not a good idea as it weakens the bridge considerably) Having been there myself I'd advised using a front caliper (they're the same apart from a longer bolt) and a nut, hence raleighnut.
I've thought about changing it as my favourite bike in the sheds is my Ridgeback but what the heck, I do own 4 Raleighs (and a Raleigh era Carlton) so I guess I'll just stick with it, plus I am a fan of Raleighs. :becool:

I chose mine because when I joined I used a camera on my commute. I live in Cambridgeshire and my initials are AB, so ABikeCam, A Bike C, A Bike Cam, AB Cam, ABC etc.

It fails to work in so many ways...anything would be better.
