Just used my pedal spanner to lever off a seized-on car wiper arm. Then deployed copaslip when replacing it.

What have you put to alternative uses? It's Friday, the more bizarre the better!

I know there are a lot of bikes/exercise bikes purchased that go on to be clothes horses!

I use my extra long chain whip to remind apprentices not to use cone spanners for nothing else other than cones. I apply the aforesaid tool to the left ear with velocity and repeat every four hours until symptoms disappear.

I use spanners as hammers on occasion. I'm an electrical engineer though so allowances should be made. I also have a healthy range of adjustable hammers.

If you spin around, will your ear come off? ;)

Not quite a tool, but, I have used spokes to clear out the plug hole in the sink of all the gunk.

I had a mechanic once, he used a hammer for the correct job, at the correct time. Just a shame, that to him, everything was a hammer

Posted before but there are 3 rules of engineering.

1. always use the right tool for the job
2. the right tool for any job is a hammer
3. any tool can be used as a hammer
