I wear for its waterproof qualities....kept me nice and dry on Friday evening. For cold weather at the moment I layer up and the top layer is a cheap jacket from Aldi which is surprisingly warm. For my 59th birth at end of March I am going to ask the wife + kids to get me a Prendas Ciclismo Jacket which had a great write up recently in CW and looks the part. I like clothes to be neat fitting...although I accept that not really possible with the altura as I keep as the top layer and so needs room underneath for all those other layers....for those interested here is a link to the smooth Prenda jacket
