My mate at work bought a bread maker thingy. He was bringing in loaf after loaf for about 2 weeks. Then the novelty wore off and it's sitting in a cupboard somewhere and will probably never see daylight again.

Lovely bread though.

ANy pics of the creation yet Andy?

I'll PM you my address so you can stick me a few slices in the post, then I can let everyone know if it taste okay or not.

(Note: Better leave unbuttered in case the postie hasn't had any breakfast! ;))

Came out of the tin a bit more solid...

(I don't know, some people, we're having a perfectly good conversation about home baking and someone has to turn it into toilet humour....!)

I purchased a bread maker ages ago. Not keen on the bread it makes, so we just use it to make the dough.

We bake the bread in the oven, having let it rise for a while, and its so much nicer.

Its also good for making pzza dough and making small amounts of jam.

andyformotley has smelly hands...because he kneaded a poo

sorry. I tried making bread once, didn't measure anything and left it in the oven too long. It came out like a massive croûton

Did make some cumin flavoured mock flat bread the other day for with a stew. That was nice...just flour, water, cumin, s&p...put it in the oven or fry it.

Got a breadmaker in May. I've not bought bread since I got the breadmaker. I make a loaf pretty much every other day.

I think you'll find there have been many loaves of bread baked.....unless this is a very olde thread which has just been resurrected.
