Banjo s proof of what you can acheive in a short time. He s also done 110 miles over some big terrain at a fair lick recently.

As everybody has said at your age you should have no probs.

One thing just occured to me...it's (obviously) too early to know what the weathers going to be doing, but i'd just mentally take note over the next few weeks what the prevailing wind direction is round there..
More often then not, we seem to have a westerly round here....you dont want an unwanted surprise on the day of not factoring in the (possible) wind direction.
It may work for you...it may work against you, but at least you'll be prepared mentally if its windy. Thats the trouble with one direction journeys.

The North Cornwall coast road from Padstow to Newquay has some 25% hills, and up to 33% on the sharp corners.

I rode it recently on a Dawes Giro 500 with 30/25 lowest.

My pedaling rate was 1 pedalstroke per second ( 30 rpm ). Its like climbing stairs with a backpack. Slow? Less than 3 mph.
