Am I getting really old or is this the future

I am an old man now but I went to see the start of the first Tour of Britain from Alexandra Palace in 19... something and it is a very special memory. The Tour is in Cholet tomorrow - a time trial - 40 minutes travel time from me and I prefer to watch on TV - the Eurosport coverage is fantastic - but am I wrong perhaps the event needs real live people to watch. The French people are very loyal (if a little cynical) and do line the roads but for how long?

Go on, you know it's better being there than seeing it on the telly. It's a TT so it's not as if it's all over in seconds and everyone goes home - get yourself a good spot (near a cafe/bar ) and enjoy it.

Then watch the Highlights on TV...

...and welcome to the forum.

yes that is a dilemma isn't it. Sitting at home you miss nothing and you have all the comforts of home laid on.
But you just cannot beat the atmosphere of actually being there.
Go and watch it on the road ,you can always record Sky for later viewing

Being at any sporting event and seeing it live is better than watching on the TV. As the others have said get yourself down to the course and soak up the atmosphere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
