In the thread I refer to someone posted photos of an arch with a fast growing white rose plant covering it.
Problem.......
I have just replaced a 6' x 6' trellis along with the poorly Clematis.
I want a fast growing plant to cover this trellis (maybe 2 plants??).
I want.........
Fast growing (very fast )
Lots of colour.
Something with a loooong season
** non invasive
Maybe someone to plant it ???

When you say "there was".....was it a short lived thread or simply seasonal ?

We should start another thread on how to get rid of Russian Vine. I've not managed to get rid of it in my garden yet.

It was a half-hardy annual thread. You'll need to start another one in the spring.

Clematis montana would suit what you are describing. These are pretty rugged and loads of flowers

Yes.....thats why I edited my thread after googling that.
In our ignorance we have had several problems with invasive plants.
Many years ago we planted something called a Snowball plant. The thing just will not die. Every year I am digging up new shoots.

I thought of this too. It’s bomb proof. Loads of flowers in the spring and then sometimes a small flush later.

That is what we had.....it never did much. But TBF I never helped it much. Just stuck it in the ground and expected it to flourish.
I will prepare the ground this time.

Sunny. Not windy. No idea about soil quality but I will prepare it with compost.
